A message from Senator Mike McGuire

Good morning,

For decades, we’ve all been working to advance a permanent fix to the Last Chance Grade. We need to move the highway to a more secure route. Due to a massive partnership at all levels of government, a longterm solution is closer than ever.

We hope you can join us, along with Congressman Jared Huffman, Assemblymember Jim Wood and Del Norte Leaders, on Tuesday, July 12 at 6:30pm for a comprehensive/annual update on the Last Chance Grade Improvement Project.

We’re bringing together the experts to take a deep dive into the project details, including a recap of how we got here today, a project timeline and what to expect over the next 24 months.

We look forward to talking with you next week – Tuesday, July 12.

Warmest regards,

MIKE McGUIRE

Senator
